We’ve had it with the Dodge. The Focus isn’t big enough for our needs anymore and I’ve been using my 1990 Lincoln Mark VII for a work commuter. It’s been more reliable than the other 2 vehicles mentioned and I work in a less than desirable neighborhood so the beat up paint is a non issue.
Total trade in would be right around 17k. Looking to do this in October or November....

4Runners are sweet, always been one of my favorite Toyotas. So long as you don’t need a 3rd row, they are great.

What about something like this?

You can get a third row in the SR5.

Do it!

Sure and you used to be able to get one in a Rav4 too. If your kids are 3' tall and have no legs below the knees they function well as seats. If not they are simply things that unfold when you don’t want cargo space.

It can’t be as bad as the rear facing seats in a Volvo 850.

You can get it with a 3rd row. We don’t need it though.

I know, but it’s as useful as a squirt gun in a 5-alarm fire.

Yeah, if I needed a 3rd row, I’d look at something a little larger.
And HOLY COW on Land Cruiser prices!

Holy shit. Why would anyone ever get the Explorer when for $1K more you can get one of the best interiors of the millennium as well as Thor’s Hammer LEDs? They basically have the same engine anyways, it's not like this is the twin-turbo V6 Explorer.

Great vehicle. I had an FJ Cruiser and I loved it. They are on the same platform and it took everything Alaska and Texas could throw at it. We traded it for a Prius due to us not needing it here in Texas. We went from 15 mpg to 50 mpg. We are saving a lot on gas and our payment dropped a lot. I had a Mustang before the FJ and tons of Fords. Toyotas are great vehicles.

Remember that, a few years back, the car with the most American content was a Toyota Avalon. It’s all mixed up now ....

Not really in this case, the 4Runner is actually still built in Aichi, alongside the Land Cruiser.

Easily one of the best SUVs on the market. You could buy it and never buy another vehicle ever again. You can even get one with a sliding rear shelf in the cargo area — with a 400 lb capacity.

Fair enough, but I’m guessing the parts come from far and wide ....

A Tacoma is cheaper while being very similar. Plus a truck bed!
